Katerina Vrana, one of Greece’s top stand-up comedians, is coming to Utrecht on May 24th at 7:00 PM at De Kargadoor with her show “It’s My Pleasure!”

With her mix of irreverent humor, disarming self-deprecation, and irresistible honesty, Katerina Vrana reintroduces herself in her own unique way. The result is a hilarious and deeply personal performance, filled with moments of genuine connection with the audience.
In “It’s My Pleasure!”, Katerina takes a sharp and often absurd look at her life: from becoming a newly disabled comedian, to her surprisingly insensitive Greek family, to unexpectedly becoming famous after nearly dying and, of course, being constantly misunderstood by her phone.

Katerina Vrana is one of Greece’s leading stand-up comedians, performing in both Greek and English around the world. Her solo shows have sold out internationally, including at major festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. CNN named her one of the “Female Comedians You Must See,” and in 2016 she placed third in the Laugh Factory’s global competition Funniest Person in the World.
In 2017, while on tour in Malaysia, she suffered a life-threatening accident. She survived, but with multiple impairments affecting her movement, eyesight, and speech. She now primarily uses a wheelchair.
In 2019, she returned to the stage with “Staying Alive (I nearly died, you know)”, which became the most successful stand-up comedy show in Greece. The show toured across Europe in 2023, selling out all 14 cities.
Most recently, Katerina made history in Greece as the first disabled presenter on Greek television, hosting Sing for Greece, the national selection show for Eurovision 2026.
